About the book
Get Backed: Craft Your Story, Build the Perfect Pitch Deck, and Launch the Venture of Your Dreams is not simply about a startup fundraising, but rather a handbook for anyone who wants to incorporate an idea and build relationships.
The authors, Evan Loomis and Evan Baehr, have raised over $45 million for their projects. In this book, they both show the readers what they and many people did to fundraise money. They shared the “secrets” used by fundraisers, storytellers, and startup accelerators. They show the reader how to create a pitch deck and raise $150 million for fifteen ventures.
The inside of the book includes original pitch decks, fundraising strategies, email scripts to investors, venture capitalists, and potential board members. They also tell stories of entrepreneurs who initially had nothing but ended up owning investments in some of the largest companies in Silicon Valley. This book shows the readers what it takes to get funded and how to turn ideas into reality.
In Get Backed: Craft Your Story, Build the Perfect Pitch Deck, and Launch the Venture of Your Dreams, authors Baehr and Loomis discuss the prospect of a formula for raising a million dollars. This book is an insider guide to entrepreneurs who want to raise money, whether you are a startup founder, a small business owner, or a Kickstarter. The interesting thing about the book is that it is like a secret playbook. It is a recommended read for all entrepreneurs who come from nothing but have an idea in mind and want to make it real. This book shows that it only takes communication skills and a few other tips to get funded by interested investors.
